Adam Luck, former Chairman of the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board, has deep concerns about the risk of wrongful execution. He realized that killing innocent people is an inherent part of capital punishment because we can’t get it right every single time.
It’s what led him to reconsider the use of the death penalty altogether, asking himself what he would consider to be an acceptable error rate for capital punishment to exist.
His answer? Zero.
