Last year, conservatives in Texas helped temporarily halt the wrongful execution of Robert Roberson. With Roberson now facing a new execution date of October 16, a year after the original date, a group of 20 exonerees have released an open letter calling for the execution to be stayed.
Several of the exonerated individuals who signed the letter were, like Roberson, wrongfully convicted based on the now-discredited “shaken baby” hypothesis. For more, hear directly from the exonerees in the press conference hosted by the Center for Integrity in Forensic Sciences.
